These were the first places we found out that we weren&#8217;t alone. Since 2006, these resources have been moderated by a team of volunteers, coordinated and supported by Children of Hoarders, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>As interest in hoarding and its impact on individuals and communities continues to grow, we&#8217;ve heard from many people that <strong>we need to do more for children of hoarders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time for Children of Hoarders, Inc. to take its next big step.\u00a0Would you like to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See better support for COHs, online and in person?<\/li>\n<li>Increase awareness of the impact of hoarding on children, families and communities?<\/li>\n<li>Provide educational tools and programs for COHs and for people who might help COHs?<\/li>\n<li>Create stronger relationships between the COH community and professionals, such as clinicians, organizers, and others?<\/li>\n<li>Stand up for public policies that do a better job of addressing the needs of children of hoarders?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of these things are possible, but we need your help to make them happen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As a grassroots, all volunteer organization, most of the expenses of Children of Hoarders, Inc. have been paid directly by a small number of volunteers. To move to a more sustainable model, we&#8217;re launching our first official fundraising campaign. We&#8217;ve set a goal to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of maintaining and improving the ChildrenOfHoarders.com website, of creating a better directory of support groups and resources, to create educational brochures, to cover legal and accounting expenses, and more.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These steps will make it easier to get the word out, to provide better, more personalized support, and to begin supporting research into the unique needs and experiences of COHs.<\/p>\n<p>Will you help us?
