I am a 23 year old daughter to a hoarder. \u00a0I am very very new to coming to terms with this. \u00a0To tell you the truth, my younger sister suffers from a very serious eating disorder, and my family’s focus and concern has been on her.<\/p>\n
We gave up on my father years ago. \u00a0I know that sounds horrible and I don’t mean to be insensitive the this very serious and painful disorder that effects so many families. \u00a0I felt forced to leave my father’s home at 16 and he has refused any professional help.<\/p>\n
I can’t watch any of those shows on TV. \u00a0I will pass one while channel flipping, and my heart will start to pound and I feel like I’m going to throw up.<\/p>\n
Is there anyone I could maybe just start talking to about this with? Just maybe trade stories? I have been so quiet for so long, I really don’t even know where to start. \u00a0I do see a therapist off an on, but I would really appreciate some support from people who have gone through something similar.<\/p>\n
